Default Importing GPS devices to europe

In my coutry the prices of GPS devices are double the price of GPS devices in US. So I was thinking if I can get these units at half the price and then sell them at about 80% of the price here I can make a decent profit. So why em I posting here, becuse I need a partner in US who will pick up the units pack them and send them to me. If anyone is interested in a partership please contact me.

Don't forget to factor in import duty and the additional cost of returning faulty items.

Yes there would be around 20% of import duty. But you can lover that by declering lower price on the package itself. For example for a 400$ GPS you declare the GPS value 200$ and by this lowering import duties. The other option is saying that devices are used(no import duties), but this would requier a litle more logistics.

Yes much cheaper. But there is no risk for the sender or me. People are doing this quite regular and if they find out the real price the only thing they do is charge import duty for the real price.

Most of the US models only come with US maps, so be sure to factor in buying Euro map software for each unit.
