I dont think we have fe and I think we are either flipping or a 31%-40% dog

[/ QUOTE ]

do you know we have a pair and a flush draw? how can he never have a random straight draw or a bluff or a smaller flush draw?

this is a push and i'm surprised you think it's close

[/ QUOTE ]

yes I'm aware we have a pair and a flushdraw. Maybe fold your draws once in a while and you can get more than 2ptb/100 at 1/2nl!

chewy id bet he has no FE and villain has 2pair/set a lot

[/ QUOTE ]

i think villain will show up with a bare ace/worse fd/random king/complete spew often enough that pushing is +ev. obv, i cannot prove this cause im not a numbers guy - but this is just juding from experience. in short, tyme2gambool.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines when I shoved it. I pretty much had the feeling that FE was close to zero, but since it was only my second hand I thought I would get looked up by some things I was in good shape against.

Villain had A5 here.

Work with me here, I don't do much of this number crunching and just want to know how far off I am in my analysis, please no hatin...

Say Villian's range is A5, K5, 55, FD, Air(let air include all one pair hands), in that order, yes?
Say Odds of him holding these are 30, 30, 15, 15, 10.

Against:

A5 we have 11 outs (44%)
K5 12 outs (47%)
55 7 outs (30%)
FD ahead (85%)
Air (say...55%) <-- a bit arbitrary i know.

So....44(.3) + 47(.3) + 30(.15) + 85(.15) + 55(.10)

= 50.05% Maybe a little lower taking into account of times we make our hand and Villain makes monster.

So even with no fold equity i see this is as a Zero Sum call, plus balances your pushes when you have monsters/air and all that meta game crap? Thoughts? Am I way out to lunch here?

UTG almost 100% doesn't have AA, KK, i could c a5 or 55; this is tough hand OOP b/c i dont think u can just call; if u put him on something just like AT or AJ which is also very possible u mite just wunna stick it in if he's good he'll muck but if he calls ur flipping; u only have 50 BB's anyway there will be some FE unless Aj AT and a5 u still got 10 or 11 outs twice so ur 60/40 dog.

I would jam it in here. AA and KK are highly unlikely. He has A5 and 55 a decent amount, but you are'nt in too bad shape against those. he could also have QhJh and AQ-AT which you all completely crush. Get it all in and win please.
