UB hand history information
I recently received the following information from UB about the availability of hand histories. Apparently, instant hand information is no longer going to be available after you get 5 hands. This does not make sense to me. I thought instant hand information was standard at poker sites. Does anyone else think this is a bad move for UB?
Email info from UB: Our last upgrade included a new policy regarding hand histories at the tables. Players will no longer be able to retrieve more than five hand histories at the time while sitting at the table. The player, while sitting at the table will be allowed to retrieve 5 hands, if he/she wants to retrieve more he/she will have to exit the table and enter again in order to retrieve 5 more hands and so on. If you wish to have your hand histories you can send us an e-mail with the exact table and hand numbers, without exceeding 500 hands per e-mail, and we will gladly send them to you. This policy was implemented on a permanent basis as per many player's request. Nevertheless, we are open to your feedback and your suggestions about this like with every other aspect of our site and services. We will forward the details of your suggestion to our Management and Programming Departments. They will take your thoughts into consideration when setting up future versions of our software. Please continue to send us any ideas and critique you may have as they help us provide our players with the best Online Gaming Experience in the market. |

Would these "players" be a) crappy players aware of tracking/hud software, but not willing to buy use it themselves b) good players who are so good they don't need the software and wanted to have it taken away to gain an edge playing without it. I just find this hard to believe. |

Re: UB hand history information
I hadn't played on UB for awhile till now and the way they do the hand history is horrible. I looked around and this thread has a way around it if you want to import hands for poker tracker.

Re: UB hand history information
They told me that it was an issue the programmers are looking into. I'm glad that I went with my gut feeling that it was a lie and moved my money to Full Tilt.
UB does kick you in the balls. |

Re: UB hand history information
The old system wasn't very good. I hope this ends up being a transition to smooth automated hh collection and a clearer hh window (use the stars/party model). I won't hold my breath.

if they eliminate the workaround with a new update I will probably never play there again.

Re: UB hand history information
Just got this after I sent an email asking them why they lied to me when they said it was a technical difficulty:
[ QUOTE ] Thank you for contacting us! We guaranteed you this is a technical issue on our end. We can't be responsible for information posted on the internet. Rest assure,we are working at full force to have the unlimited hand history feature available as soon as possible. Let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with. Best Regards, [/ QUOTE ] |
