Might be a good idea to sign up for the international plan temporarily and then cancel it afterward. Would save you a lot of money on the cell phone bill.
Anyone have a Cingular phone that worked last year?

Anyone ever think about leaving a cell phone at home and actaully enjoy being in the Bahamas? Geesh, I swear some people are tied to these things like a ball and chain. Just my .02 cents.

dunno if it helps or not but my UK cell phone didnt work there either...
You can hire a cell phone right next to the market in town..

[/ QUOTE ] i concur, went the 60's,70's, and 80's with no cell phone and did just fine. retired two years ago and only keep cell for emergency and out of town use. never got very attached.
