Default Limited Bankroll $10/20 HU vs Crazy Maniac

I bought in for $200 at a new poker site to take advatage of a promotion. After playing $1/2 and 3/6 6-max for a few hours I had $2300, and decided to take a shot at a HU $10/20 table. I bought in for $1000, and the other player had about $8300 in front of him.

It became clear that the player was on mega-tilt, going all in and calling all-in with absolutely nothing. After about an hour I was up over $9000, and the crazy guy had rebought a few times.

I tried leaving the table and returning with less cash, but the site doesn't allow it.

I don't have a bankroll, so this $9k is my entire roll.

Question: is it worth staying at the table? For how long? Assume that the guy on tilt will keep rebuying, but that at some point he will get a hand or go off tilt.

I was totally torn between walking away a winner, or playing in what seemed to be a highly EV+ game but way above my comfort level.

Thanks! I'd be interested in math on this. I'm familiar with the Kelly Criterion, but not sure how it applies here, since the "edge" could vanish at any moment.

If you think you have an edge, then yes. From the way you described yourself and your play, it's very likely that you don't, so I would take the money and run.

Well, there was definately an edge, the problem is the guy is doing stuff like raising $300 pre-flop with 63o, then pushing on the flop regardless of what came.

What's the right way to play here?

I would stay and keep taking his money until I doubled him up. At that point you take the money and enjoy your winnings.

Is there a better strategy than:

1. making correct S-C pushes from the small blind (based on the assumption that he will call all-ins way too often for his stack, but if not, there's no loss since a push was correct).

2. Calling his large preflop raises with the top 50% of hands, and then check calling his monster bets with Top Pair, 2 pair and better?
