I heard that they no longer have $3 chips, and thus the 9/18 game is gone. Is this true?

[/ QUOTE ]

I never said the $3 chips were gone. I said I was playing 8/16 with $4 chips. No faith in my reporting Bob?

Would be a good room if there was any action for lhe. I was there last sunday and the biggest lhe game was 8/16 and there was only one table of said limit. The game also broke in less than four hours and that is with me and two others playing 3 handed for a while. I will admit that the 3 handed portion of my session was much more fun than when the table was full.

I loved the room, but the limit holdem was few and far between, only 2 tables of 4/8 and a list for 15/30. Mind you this was on the Monday before your thanksgiving. The 2/5 was very soft.

I do TT. Started doing this about a year or so ago at the Aladdin.
I had a few friends that could not play in the bigger mixed games with me so I started this one. We started off with a 5/10 mixed game at the Aladdin. Moved it to the "V" about 6 months ago where it has been running every Saturday for the past few months.
We have 6-8 who show every week, the rest is from the room.
Never have had any trouble getting the table filled---
Games---
Holdem
Omaha hi
Razz -- $1 ante $3 complet
Stud --- Same as raz
Omaha 8

We may add 2-7 at some point--
Play is 9 handed max
And we are looking to play a SMALL (1/1) pot limit mixed game at some point to get the group used to a little higher limit--
Stop by anytime and ask for me.
I do not work, prop, shill or draw anything more then my comp$$$ for doing this at the "V" --
I do it to get players more involved with the OTHER GAMES of poker...
Hope this helped.

You shouldn't claim this is a HORSE game.

Ugh Omaha High limit is truly a horrific game, you should really switch to a true HORSE format, or perhaps TORSE if you want to add some spice into the game (T for Triple Draw). I'll probably stop by to play, sounds like a fun low-headache game. Sometimes its nice to play without risk of bankroll.

Played there this last Thanksgiving weekend. (We were staying there)

I liked it fine. No complaints about anything.

I was playing $1-2 NL. Some fair players and some donks.

Made $400 in 2 sessions of approx 1 1/2 hours each.

I will certainly play there some if I go to Vegas again.

I'll probably stick to the 2-5 NL and give the V a good shot.

[/ QUOTE ]
the 2-5 has a 1k max-buy which is pretty sweet. if you know how to play semi-deep stack nl then you should do well in this game. a game with a 200bb cap is a WAY better game than a 100bb game, and it can also be a much better game than an uncapped game. in an uncapped game a lot of the money is just for show and never sees action; with 200bb's the stacks are more likely to go into play.

I played several tourneys at the V over the Thanksgiving weekend. They started a 6/12 O8 game one evening but it never filled up. It used $3 chips. I think this is a mistake. The pots never look large. Same is true for the Mirage 5/10$ O8 game using $5 chips. I watched it for a while also and the pots were small.

I love to play O8 but prefer 4/8 with a kill using 1$ chips.

I also looked for a mixed game at the V, but only saw names on the interest list one night, and even then only 2 names.
Ship it!
