Headsup SNG\'s for a living !!?
Hi
are there any players out tehre who make a living out of playing only HU-Sng's? What do you think which limits you must beat to make around 3k-5k every month (yeah i know vaiance...) I am an absolutly newbie to the Hu Sng's but it makes much fun to play same. So far i was playing nl 100 6max with an pretty bad winrate. I heart that the swings in the Hu Sng's aren't that big as in the normal Cashgames But the problem with the Hu Sng's are that you can't mutitable them so good like 6max or fullring cashgames. What is you experience about variance and winrates ($/h) at the middel - highsack Hu Sng's? It would be fine if you can say your experience because i am thinking about changing from the nl cashgames to the Hu Sng's thanks |

Re: Headsup SNG\'s for a living !!?
You would need to score 60%+ at the 100$ to 220$ buy-in level to make the money ure looking for and not need to be playing a gazzillion games every day. You''ll have to be/become pretty good to do that. And yeah, multitabling is pretty much a no-no. Goldmund

To see the feasibility of it, Sharkscope total profit in the past 12 months on the leaderboards.
#1 in HU SNG's on $50's and $100's: $29,785 #1 in HU SNG's on $200's: $43,920 Hopefully that answers your question about making $3-$5k a month. |

I don't think Sharkscope has been around for a year. Im pretty sure their data for most sites are from may-july forward.

Re: Headsup SNG\'s for a living !!?
Sharkscope leaderboard is like May onward so that doesn't tell the whole truth. maxv2 (36-100's #1) has made over 60k playing 50 and 100 hu over the past year & 1/2. JMac (TeamPhenom represent, 200's #1) has made like 75k-90k EXCLUSIVELY from 200s since last Christmas. Easier to make living playing hu than normal sng in my opinion...Just alot more frustrating

Hm, I thought it was from '05. Oh well. There's your answer.
P.S.: If I tried doing it fulltime, I think I'd go insane. |

Re: Headsup SNG\'s for a living !!?
you make so little from HU SNG's long term it's hardly worth it to grind them for a living. Guys like Maxv2 (who I think is 1 of top 5 or so HU SNG players period) are playing insane amounts of games to make the profit that they do. Time would be much better spent elsewhere

Re: Headsup SNG\'s for a living !!?
I think you could make a living playing hu matches. If you played 10 200hu matches everyday and won 6 and lost 4 you would make a nice living. Even after you subtract the $100 in rake fees, you would be clearing $300 a day. If you did this 365 days a year, you could make $109,000 a year. Needless to say, I dont know anyone with a 60% winrate long term at the 200 level.
