Ugly board so a fold probably wasn't terrible but I think top 2 pair wins here more than once in 9. Especially with no one behind you to act I think I pay off on the river.

I think I prefer betting the flop to check-raising. If your opponents have anything resembling a draw, or sometimes even a pair, they aren't folding to your check-raise; you want to get value from AK-type hands, and you aren't super pissed if you're raised.

I think the hand plays differently from there, but as played, I overcall the river.

I think I gotta agree with Bona on this one. I think you win with top 2 pair at least 1 in 5 times. I'd call here.
