Short answer "yes", longer answer "lol, of course". I kinda hate short-stackers as they take out a lot of play, but you just have to accept that they are there looking to either wait for premium hands and put it in pf or just gamble with a wider range.
Especially with the latter it creates interesting scenarios as big stacks willingly gamble with them if there is dead money to be fought over. I once was involved in a hand (10-20) where mp -5k- opened, button -5k- called, sb -5k- called, BB re-potted almost all-in, MP with AKKQ ds re-potted, button called and now SB re-potted with AA, and it became a 16k pot all-in pre. SB was hoping exactly for this scenario but I didn“t think it was the least bit ethically speculative. |
