Going Back To School, HELP
So I decided I am going to enroll for the spring semester, I have not gone to school since the semester right after I graduated HS, and that only lasted a couple weeks due to being a lazy drunk [censored].
But now, it's time to try again. So, what classes should I take? I have no clue what sort of degree I want to get, so I need some required classes that I am going to be able to pass. Any advice? Also does anyone here have any experience with the community college of southern Nevada? That's where I will be going.... |

Re: Going Back To School, HELP
You should have thought about this stuff before you decided to go back. I am in a similar situation, but I had to come to terms with myself before I decided to return for sure. I also found what I would probably be interested in. Do not worry if you don't know what you want to do. I know people who change their major 10 times before graduating (I may be one of them).
You should talk to a guidance counselor about more specifics, especially which classes you should be taking. Try to take some general entry level classes that seem interesting to you. Also take classes that are required by most majors so you can get them out of the way. |

Re: Going Back To School, HELP
Speak to someone at the school. They love mature students because they are guaranteed revenue for 3 years (they tend to drop out less). They are more helpful than you might think. Good luck pal. I recently went back to school, and I am loving it.

Re: Going Back To School, HELP
Take generals, they're easy and will give you direction.
I suggest; a social science class (mainly psych, econ, sociology, polisci) a science (physics, chemisty, biology, geology) a math (whatever level you test into) a freshmen composition class if you haven't yet taken it |
