50nl Clueless limit player probably goofed this one up big time...
Been at the table one orbit, so no substantive reads.
6 handed $50 effective stats all around, except minraising villain who has $37. Hero has K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in MP UTG raises to $1.75, not knowing what else to do I call. HJ then minraises to $3, folds to UTG, he calls, I call. Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($10) UTG checks, Hero checks planning to check-raise HJ. HJ bets $6.50 into $10 pot, UTG calls, and Hero c/rs to $25. Awful? |

I may just bet out on the flop but I don't mind commiting all of my chips on this flop. Against AA you're a fav. and you're 50/50 with AQ.

Get used to the c/r AI...it's fun.
As you maybe noticed, your 25 dollar raise put you in a bad situation on the turn when a blank falls. Not enough money to push anyone out or give yourself odds to catch the flush. Your equity rules right now, get the money in. Doesn't matter if they fold or call...works out for you either way. |

Yeah...shortstack called all in, showed 10[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (??) and I hit the higher flush on the turn.

You can play this either way, c/r all in (better if you know villains are aggressive and will bet), or bet-3bet(shove) if raised.
Just get it in! As a side note, I prefer to have middle pair + FD than top pair +FD, as if you get called you'll typically have one extra out vs. the Ax guys. |
