BEAT: spilled water on my laptop

Earlier today I spilled an entire bottle of water on my laptop. I pulled out the battery after about 10 seconds, so it would switch off. I then let it sit outside in the warm san diego weather for 5 hours.

Variance: When should I put the battery back in, and attempt to switch it on?

The recommendation typically is to set your laptop up like a teepee to dry for about 24 hours. Then you should be set.
