Default 3-bet by lag, flop decent

$3/$6 WPX, 9 handed

Read on MP1: 35/17/1.5, 460 hands; I don't think he's a full-blown lagtard, but he's frisky.

Read on Hero: I should look pretty tag throughout our history, though I do mix it up with him (iso raises, 3-bets preflop, etc.).

Hero is UTG+2 and gets K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

2 folds, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, 5 folds, Hero calls.

Flop (7.5 SB): 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls

Turn (4.5 BB): Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls

River (6.5 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero?

The entire line?

I would have folded preflop on WPEX 3/6 9 handed. I fold it in this spot most places I play...

I would have check-raised that flop and gone from there. I think this flop is much better than decent against the LAG.

I fold KTs PF in UTG+2.

Given that you didn't, I would c/r the flop and call a 3bet.

And I think you should bet/fold the river.

I like betting the flop because if you are raised you can go into call down mode UI.

My number two option would be to check raise the flop. Bet turn if called. Bet river if called. Fold to a river raise.

Flop check-raisers, I guess you're thinking we have a big equity edge on the flop and that we should push it now w/a flop c/r? That's certainly a good point, but I'm also thinking:

1) if we're behind and c/r the flop, a) he very rarely folds and sometimes 3-bets, so we pay a lot to draw, and b)if we do hit our draw, he's now wary and could slow down;

2) if we're ahead we're way ahead, and he may well immediately fold all those hands we're crushing to a flop c/r, or to the follow-up turn bet.

I guess I was thinking this might be similar to a WA/WB spot; i.e., a c/c line wins more when we're ahead or hit our draw, and loses less when we're behind and don't hit our draw. Flawed logic?

I fold KTs PF in UTG+2.

I'm a sucker for suited broadways and unless the table is lagalicious I'd limp early and often.

I c/r the flop. Lead the turn if just called and lead the river if turn is called. If 3 bet I c/c down and probably donk if the [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hits.

limping PF is okay in the right conditions. raising pf UTG1 as a rule of thumb is a little loose in a vacuum. i would bet the flop. as played i would donk the river.

On the contrary, I think a c/r makes our hand seem much more unlike a FD than if we check/called. But either way, I think he is betting a turned [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] given his stats and his PF 3bet.

We may be way ahead to QQ/JJ but I don't think villain would release these hands to a flop c/r given his stats. And we aren't way behind, we have a ton of outs here. Even if we are behind to AA/AK, we still have a good amount of outs to bail us out if we are 3bet on the flop.

Wow.

KTs is borderline from up front. I do like raising if you're going to play it first in.

That is almost the ideal flop for you, not just "decent". And I lead it, hoping to 3bet.
