How about a flop raise:
1. for information
2. to possibly get a free river card
or
3. to set up the possible turn semi-bluff for one BB instead of two (that is: get checked to and bet)?

I think we fold AK/AJ more often by representing the Q from the flop...and it may only cost 1.5 BB.

Although, so many people wait until the turn to raise in HU situations that maybe that is more believable plus wins you more when the flush hits.
