I dont like playin big pots w/ AJ so i slowed down on the turn, but perhaps should have value bet it or flushed out some more draws...how do u play this? Indeed, but you'd hate a re-raise. Well, not hate exactly, but it wastes you 300 chips and gives him the chance to bluff you off the best hand. It's probably fine at a $16, at a higher level not so much.

So at higher levels you think someone hits something better than AJ either on turn or river, checks turn, and after hero checks behind on turn, check again, hoping that hero gains confidence so he can c/r? And this happens often? JustChillin, I like how you played this. At first I was surprised you didn't bet on the turn though. I might bet the turn then check the river behind, maybe bet the river? Seems dangerous I don't really know what to do there though. Dunno if there's enough value there, thoughts anyone? RexWoo, The use of the river bet is to get more chips based on an analysis that it's plus EV. Explain why it's not? |
