Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, Button calls, 2 folds.

Hero checks, Button bets $28.5, Hero raises all-in $110.15, Button calls $81.65

villain is your typical tag. i checked flop because i wanted to keep pot managable and felt board wasn't too scary to let a free card off. he potted me for 2 streets, i felt like i had to call river so instead check/calling all the way i fire off the turn to kill his odds just in case he's semibluffing me. help on all streets are welcome.

You're not beating anything except exactly QJ.

KK would have re-raised you pf.

You fold the naked J on the turn if you rr.

Do to flop he probably doesn't have a naked Q.

If you go the check call route, you can't rr all of a sudden especially when a scare card (turn overcard) hits, unless you want to turn your valuable AA into a complete bluff.

I like lead flop, check call turn better.

Or call call call, but don't panick in the middle of it.

His bets look pretty strong, he may well have you beat or be on a stone cold bluff. So a rr on your part folds on the bluffs and gets called by everything that beats you (A7s etc.)

bet turn again.

Kei, this is a standard stack-a-donk line....he will get called by plenty of [censored] he beats.

How long have you been playing vs. him? And what is the your image at the table.

Hmmmm, I'm thinking AJ or QJ. I really doubt he's betting 87 or 76 that hard. He'd likely re-raise with KK or QQ. JJ that seems too much betting also, and possibly re-raise.

I like your line, but for all I know you just got stacked.

Req

this is FPS, you only get paid off by bad players and hands that beat you

you have to bet it for value on the flop... and this over raise on the turn isn't good IMO,

i was not raising the turn for value. i was pushing out hands that might make me look stupid on the river like a rivered str8 or flush. would be nice if he called w/ AQ, OJ, but connectors w/ a 7 will break me on the river if i check/called anyway. i want to why it would be better if i potted the flop.

I agree keep the lead in the hand stay in charge. Make some probing bets at this. Remember AA is a great hand preflop and post flop it can be the death of you when over played. What good is AA you either win a small pot or lose a big one. This board in a small game and player on the button is very scary for your hand. Heres my play of the entire hand with no raise from opp. bet flop 3/4 pot thus killing p/o. then fire 1/2 pot on turn. 1/2 pot on river. If I get raised I must think about letting them go. This is a hard hand to get away from for most but most players go broke playing big pairs wrong.

Why did you check the flop? I would lead flop, c/c turn.
