Abs 3/6 AKs in BB turn/river help
Villain in this hand is 42/12/.5 over 96 hands in my limited absolute database. I am a little confused on the turn and river lines here against this fairly passibe opponent. Could be basic, just running bad so I thought I would check.
Absolute Poker Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $3/$6 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls. I like it. I think you'll be shown AJ and KJ plenty of times to go ahead and put a value bet on the river when you counterfiet his two pair.

Re: Abs 3/6 AKs in BB turn/river help
I play it the same. The flush seems unlikely since the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is out unless he 3bet pf with air or something like QJ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. The .5 AF is pretty low, but I think you'll see a worse 2 pair here often enough.

Re: Abs 3/6 AKs in BB turn/river help
What about villain has JJ? Preflop his 3bet makes sense to isolate you. Also maybe he thought your flop bet was a bluff, then he hits his set on the turn. Thus the two raises on the turn and river. If raised on the turn, he may have hit two pair, but raise on the river also makes me think he has a set. After raise on the turn, I just call and check/call river. Thats me though.

Re: Abs 3/6 AKs in BB turn/river help
sb vs. bb? bb is aggro pf and you are in such an obvious steal spot so he is often 3betting light. like any ace or pp. if he was more aggro i would c/r the river, but i like it as played. and keep in mind his AF as it relates to his VPIP doesn't mean he's super passive like a 8/3/.5 or something.

I think you played the hand fine. Like James said, I would go for a river c/r if he was more aggro but he isn't so nice donk.

Re: Abs 3/6 AKs in BB turn/river help
YOu are againsa .5 (admitedly less then 100 hands)...put yourself in his shoes. If he has AJ he rr the deal, an on the flop hit his hand and decised to slow play. hit his 2 pair and raises the turn.....gets called. NOw a tc hits the river you realy think he is capable of raising a SG here..not a chance....he has 3 jacks. Unless he gets funcky HU (a 42% you would have already seen this in 96 hands) you are beat.
