Playing out of the Small Blind 1-2 NL
Any general advice? I looked at my statistics and I am profitable in every position but the blinds, losing even more in SB than in BB.

Fold more small blinds. Don't complete unless you have something that is good in a multiway pot. And raise to steal occasionally.

Raise tonnes if folded to. Play tight to a raise. Complete any old [censored] that looks like it can hit a flop hard if there are limpers.

Re: Playing out of the Small Blind 1-2 NL
If folded to I'll usually raise to $7 w/ a pretty good hand to a great hand -- say K10 to AA. I'll usually complete if folded to w/ hands like 56os, 10-8s, etc. If I get a 2-4 limpers in SB I'll usually complete w/ a lot of fairly marginal hands -- Q4s, etc. This is obviously not the right formula.
So, what do you raise if folded to? What kind of hands do you complete with, depending on the limpers? |

Look at BB won/100 in position stats... You should expect to be losing in the blinds - I think an acceptable loser rate is upwards of about .20BB/100? Right? Also check Pokey's PT stats post... |
