FT 3/6 first HU session, advice please

sorry for the rough HH, switched the sn's atleast

this is my first post in the forum, any advice would be greatly appreciated

in reading the HH myself, I felt stupid for raising 2xBB in some SB's to "mix it up," which I feel like I learned is retarded because if they're going to call 2xBB, they'd call 3xBB, which provides villain with the information that I am raising a extremely wide range...thoughts on this would also help my understanding of HU play

He made a bad call with AQ. Otherwise he outplayed you.

- I don't get your $75 bet on the end with Q2. You're only getting called by a better hand. Why not bet $25 and get called with a middle pair?

- People like to raise randomly with 72 because it's "the worst hand in poker". Bad play, obviously.

- Decent bluff with Q2, too bad you got called. $24 would've had the same effect and would've been more suspicious because it looks more like you want a call.

It looks like you showed good aggression, but if he was smart enough to wait you out, he probably would've won. I can't understand you or him trying to end it preflop with good, but not great hands (99 and AQ). Personally, after seeing one or two of your bluffs, I would've checkraised every flop I have top pair or a good draw, and maybe even middle pair. With my especially powerful hands, I would wait til the turn to checkraise you, and might check it all the way down trying to induce a bluff. The last hand I would've only called with JJ or better. It's like he got tired of you running over him so he made a stand with something very marginal. Nice win for you.
