Default Simple Dual Monitor Question

I use my laptop by itself around 75% of the time, but when im playing quite a few tables I hook up my LCD. I know there is a shortcut you can press to bypass going thru Properties>Settlings>Extend desktop....but Im not sure what the shortcut is....is there a universal one, or one specific to Dell laptops?

the Fn key + the key with the monitors on it...usually around F6 or so, its one of the Fx keys most likely.

There's likely little pictures on the keys. (The pics rarely can teach you what the hell they're talking about, but at least help you remember which one it was last time. )
