What is your BB won per hand on AA hands in PLO8 or NLO8?
Kinda an offshoot of the "what hands can I call with when AA pushes preflop in NL?" thread. I usually do ineed push AA preflop if there have been a lot of limpers in NL. Of if I"m in EP then I'll limp and hope for a raise. If I have a real monster like AA2, then many times I'll make a smaller raise.
MY Pokertracker stats are small, but on the 265 times I have had AA I average a win of 2.03 BBs per hand. I'm interested in not only hearing other people's stats, but also having a general discussion on playing AA(particularly weak AAs). |

Re: What is your BB won per hand on AA hands in PLO8 or NLO8?
PLO8 AA = 3,560 times = 1.64 BB/100. This might be somewhat misleading due to the fact when I first started playing I would never fold AA and shove from preflop til my stack was in if possible regardless of the board. I no longer do this so if I were to check the last couple of months it would probably be different.
Just checked my last 13,693 hands AA = 354 = 1.96BB/100 |

I did not play NLO8
PLO8 AA : 392 times, VPIP : 93.88, 2.53BB/h, PFR : 55.61% I fold it preflop sometime if my position is poor and side cards are crap. I did not raise weak AA if I cannot see the flop HU with position |

I always wondered what hands players with super high VPIP but less than 100 folded. Now I know. Perhaps I am reading this wrong and what you mean is you play 93.88% of AA hands and raise 55.61% of them. Could you clarify for me please. |

Re: What is your BB won per hand on AA hands in PLO8 or NLO8?
This is from my last database, 47K hands of mostly $50 and $100 PLO8. My recent database (higher stakes, mostly short handed) has similar results.
Graph of results. The difference between the green and blue line is net $ won without showdown. The green line is the same as the PT numbers ($ won). The red line is equity summed over all streets for showdown hands. Street by street equity for hands that went showdown. Most of my net equity on showdown hands is coming from hammering the pot preflop. Bare overpair AA can often make decent Sklansky bucks, and can take a healthy pot on the river even unimproved. I definitely don't play these situations optimally though, there's significant room to squeeze out more here. Bet size vs equity graph. The number on the bars refer to the number of pots where this situation occurred. "Bet" refers to the sum of bets, raises or calls made by Hero. Almost every situation is profitable with solid play. The only major leak is calling big raises for full stacks with just an overpair. But it's part of my overall game. |
