My rationale for raising was because of the other player left in the pot. i figured him for a high hand, thus i get my equity from his overcalls. maybe just call instead of raising on 5th and 7th? maybe raise is good? i didn't think the guy in the middle would fold.

Third, fine. Fourth, fine. Fifth, fine. You have a board lock on fifth, which more than enough reason to raise. I don't know why the bettor has to have three Sixes, but you were in this game and I wasn't. Sixth is fine. On seventh, I would just call and hope for over-calls. You could easily be in third place.
