Re: Kid gets tasered in UCLA library...for no reason
I don't have time to read all this... can someone just tell me if I can directly disobey multiple police orders or not? I am driving an hour to the casino this morning, and I want to know whether it is ok to ignore the police if they try to pull me over.

[/ QUOTE ] Not pulling over when police have sirens on you is a bit higher on the "possible endangerment" scale than some dude who was walking out of a freaking library. |

So your answer is: yes, I can ignore the police, as long as you, personally, deem it ok in that instance.
And he was not leaving the library. That's why the police were called. Once the police arrive, you can't just decide "just kidding" and leave. They have to investigate. Or do they have to check with you first too? |

Arguing right or wrong is pointless, a jury is going to award this guy a very nice settlement regardless.
Anyway since when does an investigation starts with 5 tazer shots? |

They have to investigate. [/ QUOTE ] Investigate what? It's a [censored] college kid leaving a college library 5 minutes after he should of. Big [censored] deal. Your mindset is what makes me scared for the future. |

This is what I'm seeing in this thread so far: *Dude's a douche, but police had no right to tazer him* 'BUT WTF, YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT THE POLICE SAY' *Yes, but not doing so doesn't just give the cops the right to use a taser, it's not that he shouldn't have been punished, just not with a damn taser* 'LOL, BUT NO CONSEQUENCE IS WITHOUT ACTION, HE DIDN'T DO WHAT THE POLICE SAY' *What's that have to do with a taser? (Cue ignored chart of appropriate police action for given situation)* 'OMFG PUSSIES HOW DO YOU NOT DO WHAT THE POLICE SAY AND EXPECT NO CONSEQUENCES?' **Shoots self in head** The inability for some of you to think logically gives me great hope for my future as an online poker. [/ QUOTE ] vvvnh sir. |

B) Why doesnt the guy with the video get closer to capture it all? c) Why do the police just not cuff him and pick him up? |

[/ QUOTE ] Option C is the solution to his retardedness in Option A. This is also why they will lose in court. The police are not allowed to use excessive force because they are a bunch of overweight/weak slobs who don't feel like actually picking up/dragging someone who could be easily checked for weapons and overpowered by multiple officers. |
