[ QUOTE ]
I have a US Neteller account that is linked to my Canadian bank account. When I withdraw to my bank or debit card, it does the conversion there (~3%). It does however save me tons of money transferring from site to site. Just phone them and ask them to switch your account to US with the same bank details. You'll probably have to close that account and register a new one. Just tell them to switch your old details to this one (neteller points and balance should come with it). [/ QUOTE ] This is what I do, and how I switched from my original CDN$ account to USD$. |

The exchange is most likely going to get better for us so I would also reccomend opening a US bank account and not converting it for a while.

Create a US$ account at your canadian bank. Bankwire the money from party poker to your US$ account. Wire money from your US$ account to pokerstars. Voila.

Close your existing neteller account as you "chose" canadian funds when you opened it. You must open a new neteller account and when doing so, chose your base currency to be USD. Email party and tell then you have a new neteller account and cashout to your new USD neteller account.

Does Party not give a very favorable exchange for withdrawels to CAD anymore? Because as of 6 months ago at least Party's currency exchange rate was always better than the going rate for USD>CAD. They obviously set it higher b/c there is much more money going the other way around. So at least the last time I withdrew to my Canadian account it was such that you actually gained $$$. Of course you still lose by depositing that back into stars.
As for the Neteller in USD I wasn't able to do this with a Canadian address. I've been told that some people were able but I was told by Neteller that it was absolutely not allowed (and I'm American with a USD bank account as well). |
