one hell of a review - nice OP.

I was blown away by casting of the new bond, this guy was dark, cool, and witty, not old, cheesy, and ... cheesy.

my .02= this didn't feel like a new era bond film. in fact it didn't feel like an old bond film ether. it was very new in terms of style, seemed like all the scenes were longer and more detailed. James wasn't engaging in 10 car chases, in 10 different locations. i liked this.

i'd say its a decent movie. not as good as some of the old movies, however it does blow away all the new ones (goldeneye - present era) hands down best bond movie in last 25 years.

I also thought it was too long. I had to piss bad too so it made it seem even longer.

I saw the movie tonight and agree this is the best Bond film.

Daniel Craig was awesome and the movie was exactly what I want in watching Bond.

Poker was silly, but I don't think any of us mind a Hold 'Em game being a big part of a Bond film regardless of how it's pulled off.

wow, I'm the only one who thought this movie was awful? Possible spoilers below:

-poker scenes sucked horribly
-007 and the other d-bag are slowrollers
-no cool gadgets, no q, barely any kills
-tons of ridiculous twists that make no sense
-stupid love scenes and bond is a vagina
-007 gets racked in the nuts 437 times in a row and he's cracking jokes? hell no.
-wtf is going on?
-movie is way too long
-dear god, i know its a bond flick and all, but why does every movie have to have ridiculous computer scenes? you can't zoom in 700000 times from outer space and check out what size of shoe someone is wearing.
-movie is boring as hell
-terribly predictable, nothing puts you on the edge of your seat

I love Bond, but I'm in the same boat as you Phresh. Especially with the weak love scenes and how predictable it was.
