JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
Villain is a maniac. 56/31/2.5. These stats are from 6 handed play, but this hand is only 4 handed.
These are the notes I have one him: donk flop, bluff raise flop, BP 3 way no continuation bet, set limp reraise 76s I go into WA/WB on the flop, and figure I can raise the river if things still look good then. The Ace really hurts and I wonder If I should have folded the river. I'm only really ahead of 22-44, 66-77, 99-TT. Behind Ax, Kx, 88, 55, 44, all of which are in his range. Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
The only decision is the river and I think you can comfortably work out on your own if you're ahead here 1:9.

Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
The only place I might fold here is river, the rest looks fine.

Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
Based on your notes, I think that your idea that
"I'm only really ahead of 22-44, 66-77, 99-TT." is way off. I say he could have flush draw, str draw, a pair, QJ2, JTo, I could go on ... |

Raise the river if a blank hits?

Raise the river if a blank hits? [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't. It's too hard to tell if you're ahead and even harder to tell what a blank is. A board pairing might make it an option. |

Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
It sounds like this might be one of those guys you always call down if you have any hand.

Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
Against a 70/50 type of maniac, I would raise the flop for sure, and call down his likely 3-bet. Against this guy, calling down no matter what is the play. On the river, there are way more stupid hands in his range than you are giving him credit for imo. Very easy call.

Re: JJ WA/WB vs Maniac
The reason I don't raise thr flop is because I want him to keep betting into me when behind instead of likely folding the turn UI (-1.5BB) or just calling down (-0.5BB).
