Default Call or fold preflop here?

Button bought in with $25 and has only been at the table for a few hands

Hero has $50
Button has $24

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.5
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $1.75</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $6</font>, BB folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises all-in $24</font>, Hero ?

Clear fold, i wouldn't have raised PF, maybe wouldnt even have called.

I fold to the initial raise. As played I fold to the allin.

You are OOP. He has a smallish stack. I don't like wrestling here. My experience with these 50bb buyiners is that they squat around waiting for a big hand and usually play it very fast.

But my main concerns are:

Lousy position
Weak hand

Fold to push..

I would call preflop since villain is a shortie. Reraising him makes this AI thing happen alot.

people are talking about 3 betting AJo out of small blind to a button open raise.

Is this a matter of stakes or because this guy only has half a buy in?

For me, at least, re-raising light is based on history/reads

I think a reraise here is for two purposes. First, to give a bloody nose to a BTN that raises light...if you have that read then a raise here is obligatory. Second, once the raises becomes a significant % of the stacks then BTN's positional advantage is reduced.

These two together make a raise here OK against an unknown but not obligatory. With AJo here I think I would just call PF. I fold the AI.
