TPTK on a two-tone flop
50NL 6m - effective stacks ~180 bb.
I'm dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button. Preflop: UTG limps, folds to me, I raise to 2.25, blinds fold, UTG calls. Flop (Pot $6.25): T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG checks to me, I bet $6.00, UTG checkraises to $20 straight, I.....? UTG was a decentish player. He hadn't been out of line so far. I'm very sure he viewed me the same way. I think his CR here represents (in order of likelihood): some sort of combo draw (pair + fd, gutshot+fd, doublegutter + fd), set, probably not a worse top pair. I thought for a while, and folded. I think I might be more inclined to push if our stacks were only 100bb. |

Re: TPTK on a two-tone flop
easy easy fold
edit: looking at that range why on earth are you pushing with a 100bb stack? |

Re: TPTK on a two-tone flop
I fold. When you are ahead you're only marginally so because I can't see him playing a worse top pair like this. When you're behind you are drawing to between 5 outs and runner runner

Re: TPTK on a two-tone flop
I think fold is good. The way he played it looks like a set or two broadway hearts maybe 9h8h as well.

[ QUOTE ] easy easy fold edit: looking at that range why on earth are you pushing with a 100bb stack? [/ QUOTE ] I don't push 100bb w/ tptk. [/ QUOTE ] I forgot to mention this in the OP, but I had seen villain semi-bluffing a flush draw on the flop. That said, I still don't think I'm a very big favorite (if at all) against his likely range. Hence my fold. I was also wondering about my bet on the flop. Would it bet better to bet less? I think if he's folding for 6 dollars he's also folding for 4-5 dollars. |
