I haven't seen this movie. Reading the description it sounds like a cool story. I'll definitely file it away on my "need to see it" list.

Metropolis - on the list of 48.

LOL. I think Dreamscape is up there because of me. I realize now I meant Brainstorm. Cest la vie.

Also I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but I just watched Starship Troopers and found it sublime and hilarious. I really don't think I "got it" the first time I saw it. Notice how closely Doogie's outfit resembles SS? Seriously, watch it from that perspective.

Black Hole - sentimental childhood thing
Chronicles of Riddick - the hell planet was cool, so were the armored tiger things
Fantastic Voyage - see #1
Fifth Element - would be a classic except for Chris Tucker, who almost makes it unwatchable
Heavy Metal - vague memories of being freaked out aas a kid, cool animation
Lifeforce - gotta give it a nod for the boobs
Mad Max - Mel's so dreamy and babyfaced here - wth happened? I'm better looking than Mel Gibson now.
Robocop - classic
Species - see lifeforce, although when she changed into the postal worker i lost all interest
The Running Man - pretty good movie
Total Recall - see above
Tremors - loved it
Tron - see #1 again

I voted for Dreamscape, among some others. I really like the movie, but I saw it when I was a kid, and it just seemed so cool.

David Patrick Kelly plays the psycho Tommy Ray, and everytime I see him in a movie since I think of that character.

Are Dark City and Gattaca on the list? They must be. Right?

Yeah, I was thinking about Dark City as well, I liked it alot.

BTW, this list is a great idea, as I've been meaning to see most of these movies. FWIW, I only voted for movies I've seen and deserve it, not just all the movies I've seen... hope everyone else follows suit.

In a pool of voters that picks Independence Day you should probably prepare to be annoyed.
