LINE WAITING at BEST BUY for PS3

Hey, what do you guys think about buying the extended warranty? $100 US and it`s for FutureShop so I'm thinking if I sell to an American he'll have to ship it back to me so I go back for him... Is that +EV for eBay? Also, the guy says the base warranty is 3 months but I'm prety sure I read 1 year online. Who's right? thanks.

I was just doing some shipping calculations on the FedEx site and shipping for this will be on the order of $150CAD if you ship across the border and about $60 if I stay within Canada. Most of the auctions are listing shipping costs of $25 or even free. I guess they are just absorbing those costs in the price.

Anyone think it would be a good idea to go to Best Buy or other stores with cash in hand and offer people 1200 for their system? Im guessing the going rates will be around 2k but some people have been camping for days and the last prices they saw on Ebay will be around $1600. Any comments or suggestions?

The biggest problem I see with the cash-in-hand approach is theft. You're basically walking up to people and saying "I have at least a couple grand and maybe more in cash on my person."

Im in pretty good shape and I have a friend going with me who's a fighter and in better shape than me so I'm not too worried about that. I don't really see anyone pulling a gun or anything in a parking lot with 20 people there.
