*yawn* flopped quads beaten by runner runner quads. ive seen it all too much now to care less, this forum has basically killed itself. except baronzeus's post which include vaguely interesting sums of $$$. vis a viz 80k in 500 hands, not i lose 5 bucks playing 0.5/1 when my quads get beat.

edit: care less instead of careless, cos i know some smart arse whould point it out.

Quad nines are clearly not strong enough to slowplay in a multiway pot - raise the flop!!!!

Why does an opponent have to misplay their hand for it to be a bad beat? This is definately a bad beat.

I believe that many poker players who lose AA vs. KK will be told, "Bad beat."

Even the various TV guys will say that (not that they know anything in the first place...just saying).

If you are a huge favorite and then go on to lose I think this can qualify as a 'bad beat'.

Even if you aren't a huge favorite going in I think many people will call it a bad-beat.

FWIW - I had KK at the WSOP ME and lost a huge portion of my stack ($18k or $19k down to $6.2k) when some other guy had AA (we got all-in pre-flop).

I think many people would say, "Well, that's just a tough beat really. Nothing you can do about that."
