Both of them have knowlage of the basis strategie
Have handeled tilting
Have a good bankrollmanagement

[/ QUOTE ]

I have all of these things, I just suck at poker. I have no idea what makes a good high stakes player, because I'd probably be playing a lot higher if I knew. If I did know I would probably either not be able to explain it or I wouldn't want to tell people because I'm greedy like that.

Does anyone realize the OP could care less what anyone else says and is just making this thread to post his opinion about the best players being able to put someone else on a hand?

Dali:

'They are somehwat intellegent yes, but far more important. They have an exallent read on their opponants. They can put you on a hand en act on it.'

And how do they put someone on a hand? Mainly via logical reasoning which is a function of intelligence.

You make it sounds like everyone could do it. But I have to admit intellegance is a big part of the game

I don't know if you guys have ever done any lowly jobs like bar-tending, but to think that many of the "rich" people that I have interacted with, it is suprising that these people are our "brightest" minds.

To say that many of the people playing high limits are in the top 10% of the IQ world is preposterous. If it wasn't for the idiot trust-fund baby dropping a million dollars a year, there would scarcely be a reason to play in many of the high limit games.

Not saying that many players are not intellegent, but one of the worst things you can do is over-estimate your competition, just my 2 cents.

I don't think that Ivey ever went to college, sense cannot really be measured by Uni credits, IMHO.
