At NL100, checking here is a gaping leak (think Titanic-size). Pot it, and call a push. His flop call could mean a bunch of things besides flush draw - and we still have significant equity against a made flush on the river. I'm sick of having this debate - if you've got 10,000 hands on villain and know he only calls with a flush draw on the flop - then fine. But you don't, so bet, and leave the 2nd-level thinking where opponents think on the same level. People think that the analysis done at MHNL applies here - you will make a lot of money if you get all your money in if you have a set regardless of the board texture. Trust me.

those who recommend a bet: what if hero and villain are both 20/15/3 2+2 tags?

those who recommend a bet: what if hero and villain are both 20/15/3 2+2 tags? [/ QUOTE ] I don't think any real TAG is calling this flop with any hand here, they would raise or fold, so that would change our line a lot. If they raise, then 3-bet, if they fold, collect chips!! |

those who recommend a bet: what if hero and villain are both 20/15/3 2+2 tags? [/ QUOTE ] meh, it's a little closer but I still like a bet. Just because someone is 2p2 TAG doesn't mean he's not calling light sometimes. He still could have a lot of hands like A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Tx that you could get value from. Also just b/c you fire 2 shells doesn't always make your hand a set or better (and if it does you need to be double barreling more often). |

Uh, dumb question cause I don't use 2p2 a ton, but how do we know who is 2p2 and who isn't? Do people generally post their poker site names at some point? I never see that.

[/ QUOTE ] it's often obvious at these stakes, becuase it's very rare for a player to be a good, thinking tag and not read 2+2. |
