Default Series of Hands vs. LAG villian- Bad Image

These are a series of hands, at the same table, most against the same villain. My image before this starts is pretty TAG, I have history with everyone at this table except Villain. I don't think he's played me much with him anymore, and I dont' know much about his style, up unto this point.

I'm interested in seeing how you would play this string of hands at this table, did I overestimate my image vs this villain. Feel free to berate

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
4 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $16</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Villain raises to $48</font>, Hero calls.

Uncalled bets: $72 returned to BB.

This hand is standard, nothing really to see here, except he played back at me in the blinds, and I made a mental note of this.

Very next hand, this move pretty laggy, my image is still tight and initial raiser is pretty TAG, so I think this pulls it down most of the time, unfortunately he 3bets out of the SB, I doubt this is BS, but he sees me fold my 3 bet again, so my image is starting to look bad, I've been raised twice and folded with little resistance.

Few hands later I make a standard btn raise and same villian calls, and then c-bets me and I am forced to fold here, now I think villain is just trying to play back at me whenever possible and I am thinking I'll probably play back at him sometime soon.

Okay sparks fly on this hand, this seemed like a good place to 4 bet since I think he's 3 betting me light here a lot. Apparently my image was a lot worse than I thought because he is giving me no respect and made a pretty ridic flop call here, but not awful if he thinks I have a mid pair most of the time. The converter didn't include the hand, but he called with AJo. He berates me in the chat for awhile, and he definetly thinks I'm on tilt.

Ok this hand is pretty bad I think, at the time I was pretty sure he would have a FD or air here a lot of the time. In hindsight, this may not be a bluff as much I originally thought it would be because he expects me to call with anything reasonable. Turns out I was a decent favorite here, but the flop call is pretty bad I think.

Two hands later I pick this hand up, normally I would just 3 bet here to 180 or so, but I thought that if I just pushed I might get a loose call from the BB. I'm not sure he thinks a squeeze here is viable since me and BTN is being extremely active.

This hand is kinda weird, I'm torn on the turn between betting again or c/c the turn and river, although his bet on the river screams value, and he expects me to call with anything , so I folded instead.

Default Re: Series of Hands vs. LAG villian- Bad Image

discussed via AIM, pasting my chat here if anyone wants to comment/disagree with it.

JKratzer123 (8:45:05 PM): ok, 1-3 are the history and look fine

JKratzer123 (8:45:54 PM): basically when you're up against a guy like this you can either push thin edges and hope it works out, or (what i do/reccommend) is simply wait for good hands and value bet the [censored] out of him.

JKratzer123 (8:46:32 PM): the T9s hand i wouldn't play, because it's not a real strong hand 1v1

JKratzer123 (8:47:10 PM): the first AK hand, the pf reraise is good, but i'd be check/folding the flop.

JKratzer123 (8:47:52 PM): basically since this guy is looking to get his stack in with just about anything (as evident from the T9s v AJo hand) then don't c-bet with nothing, don't semi-bluff, don't bluff.

JKratzer123 (8:48:44 PM): he's going to pay you off, i'm not saying you have to wait for the nuts, but just expect action and plan accordingly

JKratzer123 (8:49:07 PM): you can felt top pair against these types of guys and you shouldn't have to wait too long to get a hand like that

JKratzer123 (8:49:46 PM): the second AK hand, not sure if that's the same LAG but even if it's not i don't mind getting AI with AK pf most of the time. that's fine

JKratzer123 (8:50:42 PM): last hand, JJ, i'd bet a little more on the flop since he likes to give you action, but not a big deal.

JKratzer123 (8:50:59 PM): as for turn and river they look ok

JKratzer123 (8:51:31 PM): i'd be tempted to call river, but that's kind of a situational/flow type read so if you felt like he wanted/expected a call then the fold is fine.

umm sometimes i think calling players like this LAG is a bit of mysnomer. i dunno how about jackass or turd, lol. no need to go chasing. just be a bullfighter. dont get involved in pots until you know u r a good favourite. this guy cant fold hands. exploit that weakness. dont get caught up in his need to gamble it up.

overall it looks like ur tilting. these types of players are very arrognat and think they can buy anything buy pushing around money. teach them that they cant buy solid poker skills by shoving their dirty money around...
