I'm not sure wherein lies the error of your ways?

Playing suited Kings aggressively 4-handed is the mark of a mature player. The only hand that can really get involved with you is AA. There's about 200 possible hands that a player can have, and AA is only one of them. That means you take the blinds 199 times. The one time he has Aces, you still win that about 30% of the time.

For the future: in my experience, I have found that you don't have to cross the $90 threshold preflop. $85 should do you just fine.

it's only a good fold if the guy's range is AA and KK only

toss QQ and AK in there and you're good to go
