I'm sure they do speed up the game, until they break down, which seemed to be quite often at the Bike when I played there.

My biggest problem with them is when I had to sit in seat 10. If you're taller than about 5'1" they tear up your knees.

Default Bring \'em on!

I for one am looking forward to the new card shufflers at Foxwoods, although I heard they will only be on up to 50 tables.

I have played at other casinos that use them and the only problems I found is that the shufflers jam pretty frequently and they tend to put little cuts onto the cards.

I am bummed out about the new no food at the table rule.

also noticed some bad marks on the cards due to shuffler. dealer's response when asking for an unmarked deck...

"oh, it's the machine. don't worry, they're all like that."

I don't trust them. I always ask for a good wash before the cards go in.

I managed to tip the auto shuffler twice when I was last in Vegas. I think it worked too...

I did this once too. Chip went in just as it was closed, it was then followed by an ugly crunchy sound and the red light flashing on top........

I love the shufflemasters, they really speed up the game.

I notice that some rooms are very reluctant to call for service. You go in and a machine is acting up and it stays that way for a week. In my room we have an extra one which can be swapped in place of one that isn't working right and we call for and get service right away. Oiously it may be easier to get prompt service in las vegas then in Connecticut.

I can't remember if I posted this before, but one of my floor people told me this story.

Young kid comes up to the podium buys a rack and goes to sit down in a low limit game.

Two minutes later the kid is back up at the podium slamming down his rack.

Floor asks him what is wrong.

"I can't play in this place. The Dealer doesn't even shuffle, he just takes the deck out of the black box and deals"
