Default how is the legislation defined/enforced

Guys, does anyone know how the legislation is going to be defined/enforced? Is there going to be a congressional committee that determines which sites qualify as internet gambling sites? Or is the onus on the banks and ISPs to determine that? I want to know how the process of determining the blocked sites is set in motion (and if there is any chance that this will not actually happen).

Thanks,
Samo

Default Does anyone know ? yes.

Yes. Not surprisingly, this is not the first time that Congress has passed a law. You might try reading what the Act says for starters. It spells out who will be writing the Regulations, how long they have to do so, and offers some parameters for exempting certain types of transactions.....

People who have read the threads here or read the Act "know".

Thanks for the sarcasm Milton. I have both read the act and asked numerous other players. I either missed or could not decipher the items that you speak of.

And while I am quite aware that this is not the first time that Congress has passed a law (thanks for making the point though), this is different, since the definitions of what is illegal are somewhat ambiguous.

Could someone a little less acerbic than Milton please shed some light on the subject?

The next step is that the Fed is tasked to write up Regulations for Law within 270 days. The banking industry is expected to have some input here.

Until a draft of Regs exists everything is just speculation.

Sorry, Samo, but your post sounded exasperatingly like you did not read the Act or any threads posted here before.

It is spelled out in the Act, honestly ... it is there.
