100NL bluffing & being bluffed
In the last 15K hands at 100NL 6-max I’m running supernova hot. I think I owe all of this to playing without a HUD. It really made me think about hands and situations instead of playing stats. While moving to 200NL I’d like to improve on spotting bluffing opportunities and making good calls. I have found that usually a weak bet on the turn when villain is OOP after he called flop means weaknes.
So here are some examples of situations I’m not sure about: Bluffing: Hand 1:No stats. Villain is not a 2+2er, but not a callingstation. Stack sizes: Seat 1: BB ( $255.15) Seat 2: UTG ( $108.44) Seat 4: UTG+1 ( $145.62) Seat 5: Hero ( $123.5) Seat 6: SB ( $108.02) Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4,5, 2 folds, UTG calls Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($10.5, 2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets $10.5, UTG calls Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($31.5, 2 players) UTG bets $17, Hero raises to $50 I figured the odds are he doesn’t have a 7, but a draw instead. For him to continue he has to have a real hand. Hand 2:No stats. Villain is not a 2+2er, but not a callingstation. He knows I raise a lot of crap so he usually calls my flop c-bet. Stack sizes: Seat 1: CO ( $97.0) Seat 2: Hero ( $145.5) Seat 3: SB ( $73.86) Seat 4: BB ( $105.74) Seat 5: UTG ( $137.1) Seat 6: UTG+1 ( $91.92) Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 folds, Hero raises to $3,5, SB calls, BB calls Flop: 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($10.5, 3 players) SB checks, BB bets 1, Hero raises to $13.5, UTG calls Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($37.5, 2 players) BB bets $10, Hero raises to $50 I see his $10 bet as a weak blockerbet from a weak ace, a king or draw. Given the flop action there is no way he can call this bet with A2-A9. Being bluffed: Hand3:No stats. Villan is shorty = donkey. Stack sizes: Seat 1: BN( $118.93) Seat 2: SB ( $50.28) Seat 3: BB ( $202.67) Seat 4: UTG ( $40.58) Seat 5: Hero ( $102.66) Seat 6: CO ( $42.84) Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $3,5, CO calls, 3 folds Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($8.5, 2 players) Hero bets $8.5, CO calls Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($25.5, 2 players) Hero checks, CO bets $25.5(and is almost allin), Hero is allin, CO calls The reason why I think this was a good push is that he insta bet pot after I checked the the turn. I think that means he usually hasn’t got the jack. What do you think considering the insta bet after I check the turn? |

Re: 100NL bluffing & being bluffed
H1
your turn raise is too small, he will be priced in with a draw hes getting exactly 3:1. Either shove or fold. H2 preflop is meh, kinda loose for me. i probably just call the turn and maybe pay off a non club river if he makes a bet. All too often they make this block bet with a weak made hand (which is likely better than yours) and then call a raise anyways. Why turn your TP hand into a bluff? H3 the guy is short and bad, getting it in with TP and every draw ever isnt bad. |
