Re: for real, 1k fight yo?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I wrestled in high school and placed 3rd in the state of california [/ QUOTE ] If doing this in cali is anything like doing this in jersey, this is an impressive accomplishment. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks. There are so many freaking schools in California there is a ton of competition. You have to win a crapton of matches to make it to state too. First you have to place in the top part of your league (1 or 2 out of around 5/6 - not so bad). Then you go to the CIF for your section and division. I was in the Southern section, which was broken into 3 separate sections (I think it is 4 now). This is a 32 man double elimination tournament. When I wrestled there were 13 sections. If you placed in the top 3-6 in CIF (depending on which division you were in) then you made it to masters. Masters was the tournament with everyone from your section. This was I think a 24 man, piggy back tourney (so if you lose a match you only get to wrestle again if the guy who beats you wins his next match, otherwise you are eliminated). The southern section is enormous (I think almost 600 schools when I did it - almost the size of the rest of the sections combined). If you place in the top 8 of the southern section Masters then you make it to State. State is then another 32 man tournament. So there were a ton of matches to be wrestled. I forget exactly how many matches I ended up wrestling in the post season, but my overall record was 54-4 or something like that - a ton of freaking wrestling for sure. |

Re: for real, 1k fight yo?
I would just like to remind the opponent of this person that the 1k you win in this fight must be claimed as "other income" for tax purposes.
