Seems like a break but I hate how you played the whole hand. Fold preflop first. Since you didn't I would have snowed and tried to blow him off it on the second draw. If you don't intend to do that I'd check behind when he draws one on the first draw and you brick.

fwiw, i broke and caught a 4. but he had a pat 9 anyway.

Since your opponent drew 1 on the first draw, I'd check behind, since your hand sucks.

Against a random player I would not break at the end. There's too high a chance he has a 9.
