I don't like this really. If you're gonna bluff here, just pot or overbet river IMO, checkraising makes no sense.

I mean, obv I'm aware you gave up, then realized that his bet is likely a bluff and checkraised, but I don't know about this, the times he does have AQ (or even AJ if he bets that), I would bet a lot of people would feel something fishy is going on and call.

It just makes no sense to check river here with something good, he knows that you know that his most likely holding should be a bad ace, and then if you have anything good, he knows you should bet so that you do not risk him checking behind.

If you are REALLY sure that his riverbet is so often a bluff compared to like AQ, then obv this is good no matter what you represent since he simply cannot call, but I'm not so sure that is the case all too often.

that's just because you're so respected as a poker player people call you with what they think are second best hands.

Me too. I have an overall tight image but for some reason I still get called in these spots more than I think I should. Disgusting thing is they usually call with marginal holdings.

I also think it is important to note that this is a 5/10 game. I think with the average player in this game/spot they will likely call you.

I think the default thought process of the average 5/10 player is "I already have $600 in the pot, oh well I call."

It's just not how I would really play them, I think it makes so much more sense to fire river than to c/r those hands, that's why I think it's fishy.
