Once seat 3 3-bets 4th, I muck and go buy myself a beer. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like a good idea... |

I would hate to fold, but I don't see how you can call. If you make a flush you can tell yourself that he's got Aces and Jacks and call. If you make trips then you have to give him credit for the most overplayed KK ever. |

Re: Results, thoughts, more questions
Hey Rory,
Sounds like N is the bring in and D is player 3 if my reads are right, lol. If player 3 is N, I wouldn't be worried much at all about her holdings. I don't know what her mindset was at the time but she is capable of being very stubborn on 3rd and 4th streets with marginal holdings. Fwiw, I think I play the hand the same way as you. I might just call 4th and pop 5th to force the bring-in out. The bring-in (if N) will fold any 1 pair holdings or worse and even most draws in that spot. If she calls or if player 3 re-raises, I'm probably done with the hand. Tony |

Re: Results, thoughts, more questions
What do you have to beat? Do you think you have a 20 to 1 shot of pegging a card that makes you ahead on 5th. Ealry errors compound and make you take the hand too far.

Re: Uhhh
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] We've told seat 3 that we've got split Aces, he doesn't seem to care. [/ QUOTE ] Food for thought - Level 3 thinking - I am willing to 3-bet 3rd street to represent a hand that can beat Aces if I am fairly positive my opponent has precisely that hand. I will only do this against tight thinking players who can find a fold by 5th street. With that in mind, is Rory getting played? TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] This type of line is more likely a HU play. Since the pot is multiway, it's more likely our opponent is extracting value from a hand that an beat split Aces. |

4th: Bringin: (xx)3c2h, checks, calls Player 3: (xx)9c4h, bets, raises me: (Ah4c)Ac8h, checks, raises, ??? [/ QUOTE ] You are in call down mode. Now run off a flush. |

Re: Uhhh
[ QUOTE ]
As I told Andy earlier via PM, I need to look at my own game then because if Andy was the (xx)9 hand and I held Aces... I can find a fold. But thats not the focus of this thread, so lets get back on track. [/ QUOTE ] Ah, you need to look at more than that as Rory is getting 20:1 or so on forth, WAY more than enough to call if you showed me 999. |
