If you're a U.S. citizen, you owe U.S. taxes no matter where you move. Maybe you're not a U.S. citizen, but most people posting this kind of question are and don't have any idea they will owe U.S. taxes regardless of where they move.

Saudi Arabia.
No tax on gambling winnings, PLUS I think they only chop off one hand for a first offense. Unless you look at porn or draw a funny cartoon about "He who shall not be named". |

Gambling winnings in Canada are tax free.
Poker as "income" would be deemed taxable because it is now income. Poker winnings would not be deemed taxable if it's considered gambling. All in the phrasing. |

Hi guys,
Australia is tax free. So when Hachem won the $7.5 Million, the only tax he had to pay was to the U.S. Government. Otherwise, any winnings in Australia are tax -free. On another note, the U.S and South Africa have a tax treaty, hence Mark Vos (Full Tilt Pro) was exempt for paying taxes on his $800K+ win at the World Series this year. |

[/ QUOTE ] Usually non-US players get their tax back, if they apply for it. There are companies in Canada that specifically get Canadians refunds. |

All in the phrasing. [/ QUOTE ] It is a lot less in the "grey area" in Canada than you are implying. If you have another job that supports your lifestyle, gambling is not taxed. If poker is the majority of your income it is taxed. There are huge threads about this, try a search if you are from Canada. |
