Re: Brag: Play good, win with stats/$$$ won
[ QUOTE ]
And you're bragging about the stud? You didn't even win 2bb. I don't see anything here that is anywhere approaching interesting. [/ QUOTE ] I was bragging about winning 1.5 bets? I didn't know that, I thought calling it "variance" meant that it was variance. The brag obviously had nothing to do with whatever amount of dollars I won at 5/10, it had to do with playing well and winning, while at the same time winding up not a loser on the day. |

Re: Brag: Play good, win with stats/$$$ won
First, I don't see how winning 1.5 bb in a game way over your head is variance in any way.
Second, nobody cares if you won today. Most of us play well and win most days. |

Your winnings are lame both in relative and absolute terms.

Re: Brag: Play good, win with stats/$$$ won
I didn't know 30/60 was over my head. I guess my bankroll shrank when I wasn't looking. Did you know that people are allowed to play any levels they want if they have enough to buy in? Winning players are even allowed to select specific games that look to be more profitable/lower variance than a game of a higher level. If only there was a name for this unusual theory of sitting in good games instead of bad ones, I think an idea like that might catch on. That's how crazy situations like yesterday come up, where I'm rolled for 20/40-30/60, but prefer to play 10/20 non-holdem and 5/10-10/20 holdem, but will play 30/60 if the game looks extra good.
Feel free to put some more quarters in the machine if you want to try again. |

Okay I hate to start an argument so I'll bail after this:
If you think that winning $500 is a big achievement, 30/60 is way over your head. |
