Search through the thread for the most recent referral, cause they don't help you much unless you just started. My upgrades went Attack, Fort, Transport (should have held off on this until I had a good map), Fort, sneak, attack, Fort, Security, Security, Sneak. I think it worked pretty well for me, although maybe its better to get sneak up to 2 before even messing with security or transport. Keep attack at 1 as long as possible, and map with excel, using each cell as a coordinate. Good luck and don't leave much money sitting in your account overnight, try to spend it all at then end of the day.

Order to upgrade... Stealth, Attack, Fort, trans, security... the first set of upgrades will be fast, if you play out all your moves.

Always serach the mountains/deserted bases... and always spy on member bases once you have SC1... then only attack FT0 bases you find (which will be the majority).

Map in excel, or on a piece of graph paper, but whatever you do... MAP!... I recommend exploring in an ever increasing rectangular pattern

... and when you find higher level FTs, post here so someone else can go after them!

So I have the $5 startup bonus I guess, but how do I upgrade my attack, fortification, etc. or find the prices for that stuff. Do I need to walk around first?

Yeah walk around and there are stores where u buy stuff, each upgrade has a different store

Yeah walk around... you should get the hang of things quickly... you will find stores all over the place. It is best to try to use all your moves every day for at least the 1st week that you play, as you'll get your stats up very quickly!

If you scroll up a bit in this thread, you will see what things cost, I've been keeping a running tally of our intel on that (last post was 2 days ago I think, and the subject is clearly labeled).

There is actually a bit of strategy to this game, so you might find it beneficial to review whats been posted here.

I just found a cool Firefox extension that allows you to have IE tabs in Firefox which is pretty cool for this game specifically since it doesn't let you use Firefox.
