Anyone else prefer peacefull music while their playing?

It seems to really help me focus, and I cant play without it.

I'll listen to nature soundtracks, Jazz, anything thats light and can keep me relaxed. I also can listen to anything with words or lyrics.

Currently, I'm listening to the Shenmue sound track while I play.

None of this stuff I'd ever listen to outside of poker, but poker seems like a good fit for it. Am I alone?

I prefer upbeat music. Peaceful I dont think would help, it would put me to sleep at the end of a 7 hour session at 4 in the morning.

Depends on my mood, but I like stuff that's not too harsh. I'm not sure I could handle metal or industrial like a lot of folks here seem to like while playing. That'd just get me too riled up.

My default is the type of music I tend to default to anyway... happy hippie music. Gets me smiling, relaxed, and in the groove.
