Re: this was really frustrating 43 hands
it's always right to complete the blind, unless your opponent
is going nuts stealing it then yeah a\you can fold it and tighten up if you don't plan on goign on after a bet, then simply leave it alone like hand 3 alot hands call that and your opp which lets him steal easily you'r really timid ! he's taking eeverthing down with 1 move, and he's getting bored playing with you cuz he's being overly aggresive but not too much because he's scared, that you'll eventually play back against him which you should profit from my advise learn how to become more aggresive, he gets the same hands like you, nothing hand 36 and JK suited that was a turning point, coulda doubled up, decent hand, i doubt he pushed you all in cuz he had a very good hand |

[ QUOTE ] my advise learn how to become more aggresive, he gets the same hands like you, nothing [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. After 15 flops omgwtfnoway only hit two of them, and ended up losing both those hands. That's bad luck. The cards dictated most of the action, although a bit more patience would have helped. Why do you raise marginal hands pre-flop? Why do you fold hands like Q2o pre-flop? What value do you get from those two plays against an opponent like this? |

Re: this was really frustrating 43 hands
A few things I noticed:
- You didn't throw one bluff out there unless it was a continuation bet from your PF raise. You're playing against a pretty standard TAG (he's pretty good actually), and about 1/3 of the way into the tourney he realizes he can pick up any pot when you completely miss, hence min bets on flops like KQQ. As the BB, you have an advantage when the texture of the flop is scary. You have to be willing to try and buy these pots, and even if you lose that bet, you're setting yourself up to get called when you do hit. As it stands now, he can tell when you have a hand and you will never get paid off unless he has a big hand too. - You were pretty card dead in this tourney, and being selectively aggressive can sometimes win you these things when you're not catching hands. With the way you play, you're going to need cards to win. You will not be able to run over your opponents, like he did to you. - Good fold on the KJs. Too many people make the mistake of pushing here. The best you can hope for is to be slightly behind (To a smaller pocketpair), and you still have enough chips to be dangerous if you double up. I'd rather push with a hand like 9Ts because there's a better chance both cards are live. An AK, AJ, KK or JJ (all hands he would've pushed with) have you in a world of trouble. - Raising with 89o when your shortstacked is awful. You don't have enough chips to play the game of raising preflop with junk and hoping you hit the flop. Even worse, you checked a very scary looking flop after raising preflop. You should probably bet every flop containing an ace when you raise preflop in any situation. Middle and bottom pairs will usually fold. Lee |

Re: this was really frustrating 43 hands
to me it looks like you need to figure out how to handle minraises. look at hand 16, and 6, he minraises u on a paired board. dosent mean he has the goods. It also looks like he picked up you were weak and would fold easily. Look agian at hand 4, is he minraising because he has tp? or is he testing you to see if you have tp and thinks you'll dump it if you dont... I just get the impression that he floated you alot.
Only other comment i have is it looked like he played the flop and not his cards. He raised your c-bets numerous times so maybe the best way to combat this is to 3bet the flop when he minraises... maby someone who plays higher stakes can comment on this. |

Re: this was really frustrating 43 hands
[ QUOTE ] How/why will that play back against him, and how do our Hero profit from this? [/ QUOTE ] well he's been folding alot, gives him a good enough image be it 72 raise it up and make him fold, get you some free cards later on and make him stop pecking those pots |
