Default 100NL AA, outplayed myself .. now call ?

Hi,

Villian in this hand just lost his ~35bb shortstack to me a couple of hands ago with a mid pp against my set wich i spiked on the turn because he "slowplayed". He is running at ~55/14/6 and pissed at me (flamed me in the chat). I decided to reraise him big here pf since he would call almost everything thats half decent.
On the Flop i thought my hand is way ahead of his range and he prolly will try to push my off it if i show weakness. So i did show weaknes by checking ... smart eh ?

I go what i wanted tho ... but this looks like he either floped big or connected his 88, still a call ?

I would call pretty quickly. This doesn't look that he flopped big or connected his 88, you might be results oriented.

i snapcalled, just double checking since im getting raped nowadays.

And yes, i know i should have bet the flop and call a push. Just with this particular situation i thought i was likely to get his stack when he has air.

obvious call, given the fact he's likely on tilt, might have flush draw, top pair, mid pair, he pushes with far more hands you have beaten than he has you beaten here for sure.

ie 9T, clubs, hearts, QQ,KK, JK, QJ, AJ, 56 you have many many hands beaten that he might shove here.

As played, easy call. This is 22-AA/AJ/AhXh a lot and you've given him reason to think he has FE/is ahead.

You didn't reraise him "big" preflop. A "standard" reraise would be to $16.5 and should rarely be less than 3x his raise - $15 is OK, but if he's tilting, I'd be tempted to make it $20. If he's really tilting, I might just push preflop to see if it worked.

big in a relative sence, table usualy folded to 12$-14$ rrs and my hand is pretty obvious if i reraise an UTG raiser. Also i highly doubt villian views bets in a pot-related sence. Prolly just looks at the $$$ amount, as did the rest of the table .. was only one decent player there and me.
But come to think of it .. yea, 20-22 pf would have been better, less obvious and kills his implied odds.

Thanks for the replies everyone, seemed like an obvious call to me as well, to bad he had 88 this time
