Re: Moving In With Deuces
the payout structure creates a disconnect between cev and $ev.

Re: Moving In With Deuces
- you instead raise to $40, and you intend to shove whatever flops.
(my gut tells me this is +EV compared to the $90. I could be way off, but can't be bothered to work it out) GoNGo |

Re: Moving In With Deuces
a raise $9.23 will do the trick 62.3% of the time.

Re: Moving In With Deuces
Is raising to 3xBB, calling a reraise, and pushing any flop better? It might look stronger and get more fold prelop. Also, you might get postflop folds with the go and go.
You could also complete with the idea of getting the money in if you are raised and making a play for the pot on most flops. I don't care for this line with deuces though. |

Re: Moving In With Deuces
Oh!
...unless making a smaller raise will fool your opponent into thinking you have a monster, and he will fold some hands that have you crushed that he would call a push with (like, say, 33-77). |

Re: Moving In With Deuces
I think diebitter was dead on, unless the BB is likely to call a 3bb raise and fold to a flop shove without a pair or solid draw/

Re: Moving In With Deuces
I have a few:
...unless the payout structure and stacks are extreme (i.e., on the bubble of a one-table tourney.) ...unless villain's nitty enough to make raise/folding correct (He'd have to be really nitty with that ante and everything). ...unless raising some other amount has more FE for weird reasons. |
