curious to hear what others have to say about this cd... one of the better cd's I've heard from a new artist in a while, anybody else hear it yet?

One month bump-o?
Just got this yesterday. I had the leaked version, or some earlier version about a month or so ago and I gave it a little listen and dismissed it. A friend recommended the real version to me and I just listened to it all the way through yesterday.

All I can say is wow, this is album is so, so good. I'm not sure how much of my feeling this is due to the fact that there hasn't been a decent rap album with subtance out in quite a while, but this just blew me away. I love every single track, especially Sunshine, The Cool, Daydreamin and He Say She Say. The production is great and Lupe actually SAYS something in his lyrics....rather than the typical I have money, drugs, guns bull [censored] that has been killing hip-hop over the past decade or so. Seriously...get this.

This album is incredible - his style is very similar to Kanye's I would say, but without the cocky swagger. Agreed?

Food and liquor (and the college dropout for that matter) are very good-but not quite as good as a lot of people would like you to believe.

I got to be honest, I'm not totally feeling it. It does take me about 10 playthroughs before I can pass a good judgement on an album and so far I've only given it 2. I almost always hate every single album the first time or 2 I listen to it.

Just downloaded this album and its really good.

I like pretty much all the beats.

Definitely the best of the new albums I've listened to recently. (Jim Jones, The Game, Fat Joe)

when i listen to rap, im actually looking for them to have that cocky swagger, to me its part of the music, its part of what rap is about
